Gold Farming in WotLK Classic is one of the best ways to make a lot of money. It's especially good for level 70-85 players that have Alchemy and Herbalism, as they can brush monsters while making money.
Mages are also great for boosting dungeons like Zul'Farrak or Maraudon, as they can AoE the entire dungeon. Other classes can do it too, but it requires practice & skill.
Thousand Needles Zone
A very popular boosting and gold farming spot, Zul’Farrak offers excellent experience and some great loot. Grizzly Hills is another great farming spot that works well for all classes. Hunters can easily do Tribute runs and make hundreds of gold per hour, while Warlocks can also farm it while doing gather professions like herbalism and mining.
Silithus has a few good places to grind Ironweb Spider Silk, which sells for a decent amount of gold on the Auction House. The northwestern part of the zone is a fantastic place to farm Frayfeather Hippogryphs, which drop Long Elegant Feathers that can be sold for gold.
Plaguelands
Many players want to farm WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic Gold in order to purchase new mounts, Raid gear and other accessories. However, the new items won’t be cheap and many players will need to effectively & efficiently farm in order to make enough money to afford these items.
The Eastern Plaguelands is a great place to level up and grind for gold. This zone features a moderate amount of monsters and respawns quickly. This makes it an excellent spot for Rogues, Hunters and Paladins who have good AoE damage and a high survival ability.
Herbalism is also a popular choice for making money as it provides inks for glyphs, which are needed in almost every profession for late game gear.
Felwood
The cursed forest of Felwood is home to bloodthirsty beasts, twisted furbolg tribes and powerful warlocks united in their quest for power. The accursed area is a dangerous place to be, and even the night elves were forced from their homes here thousands of years ago.
Tainted Oozes (marked GREEN on the map) - Oozes in the southern section of Felwood respawn really quickly and are a great gold farm for lower level players. They drop a lot of low-value Vendor Trash Items, as well as 14 Slot Bags and a rare 16 Slot Bag.
Purple Lotus can be found at the ruins of Felwood and requires Herbalism 210 to harvest. This is one of the best early gold farming spots for Alliance players.
Silithus
A rough desert on the southern edge of Kalimdor, Silithus is a zone that often goes under the radar. It’s a popular gold farming spot for players in their late 40s, as it’s where they can grind the rep needed to enter the Ahn’Qiraj raid.
It’s also a great spot for anyone that wants to farm meats, like Chunk o’ Mammoth and Rhino Meat. The zone is also good for hunters who want to complete Tribute runs, and druids can take advantage of their racial ability to pick herbs while in Travel Form. Silithus also contains the hives where players can mine rich thorium veins.
Feralas
In order to get the unique items/mounts/pets in WotLK Classic players will need a lot of gold. Luckily, there are plenty of good places to farm in this expansion that will help players reach level 70 quickly and efficiently.
Feralas is a great zone to farm gold if you are a Hunter or Warlock. It has a ton of mobs that respawn really fast so you can brush them as many times as you want without running out of monsters.
It is also a great spot to farm Frayfeather Hippogryphs which can be sold for profit at the AH. It also has a chance to drop some good raid buff items for those that are into the dungeons.
Winterspring
There are many new mounts, unique pets, and raid gear in WotLK Classic that players need to acquire. To do this, players will need to farm gold as much as possible.
Mining resources are one of the most profitable gold farming methods in WotLK Classic. They are used in Jewelcrafting, Blacksmithing, and Engineering, and their demand is stable across the expansion.
Some of the dungeons listed above can be AoE farmed by Mage, such as Scarlet Monastery Cathedral or Zul’Farrak. Additionally, hunters can solo Tribute runs as well. Herbalism is also very profitable for Hunters and Warlocks, while Druids can save time by picking herbs in Travel Form.
