Google plus is an interest-based social media. Part of the search engine giant, Google, G Plus is known to help bloggers and online entrepreneurs in searching their niche audience. But how does Google Plus helps bloggers to get traffic?

Google plus is my number 2 source of traffic. I have an active presence onGoogle plus (with more than 11.5K followers) and it has helped me in many aspects to grow my blog. But before learning how to leverage Google plus for getting traffic to your blog, let us know how does this platform work.

As I mentioned that G plus is an interest-based platform, it allows the users to share the blog content in interest-focused communities and collections. Based on your interest, you can create Collections of content on your Google plus platform. Google really appreciate if you have a collection of god content by featuring your collections in their Featured Collections page. Some of my collections are featured by G plus and they have lot more followers than my actual followers count. (See the image below)Likewise, G Plus communities also have millions of members and they are really helpful in promoting your blog posts.

Google Plus: Get Unlimited Traffic to Your Blog

Sharing your blog content on Google plus is easy. And this easy sharing helps you in a long way. Want to know how? Read on.

Google plus content is indexed immediately and ranks higher in the search results

Google plus is owned by the Search Engine Giant Google and that is why it is a powerful search engine marketing tool. Google plus contents show up in search results than the contents on other social networks as Google ranks their own social network higher. The Google bots crawl faster and index immediately the Google plus content.

Share your blog post immediately once you publish it to rank higher in the search engines.

Google plus content is seen by a large number of people

As I said, there are 2 billion Gmail users in the world and each user has a Google plus profile. Whenever you email to someone, they see your G plus profile with all your collections of content. This also sends traffic to your blog.

Google plus users are engaged

You have probably seen that your profile picture gets more like than your blog links on Facebook. There is reluctance in liking or clicking the links among Facebook users. But this is not the case with G plus. When I first started using Google plus, I was overwhelmed by the +1s, comments and clicks on my posts. Before using Pinterest, it was my top traffic source. Google plus users are more engaged and helpful whenever I post something on it.

Some of the G plus users are not even using Facebook or Twitter. It means that when you promote your blog links on the platform, you get whole new lot of audiences and your potential customers.

I hope this post will motivate you to use Google plus for sharing and promoting your content. Are you using the most amazing social media to rank higher in social media? If not, start now!
