Introduction: High blood pressure and its complications seem to be increasing among workers, which is why it is worrying that there are new cases of high blood sugar (HBP) occurring again. This study evaluated the effect of activity on high blood pressure in ALUCAM group workers. Method: All workers from the ALUCAM group in Cameroon were included in this cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical study. It was carried out between January 2013 and September 2013. The Karasek model was used to assess psychosocial risk and collect socio-professional data. Data were processed using Epi-info version 3.5.4 on July 30, 2012. To compare our results, the Chi-square statistical tests was used (P0.05). Results: HBP was found at 14.3% (n=91). Our study population consists 73% of older workers (>45) The HBP and age were significantly related (p=0.000; OR=16.95). Obesity was associated with high blood pressure (p=0.0000, OR=4.7). 91% of Hypertensive workers were active workers (n=83). The difference in active and non-active hypertensive workers was significant (p=0.0000, OR=7.16). High blood pressure workers were more prevalent (p=0.0168; OR=1.72). 63% of the cases had workers with high blood pressure (p=0.0168; OR=1.72). As psychological demand increased, social support and decision-making latitude declined. Conclusion: Obese and older workers were more likely to have high blood pressure. High blood pressure can be caused by stress. HBP can be caused by the activity, which has psychosocial components that are often unfavorable for workers. These workers were more likely to have HBP if they worked shifts (p=0.0168; OR=1.72).
