Honda Motor Europe was proud to announce that it will be the sponsor and supplier of motorcycles and cars in the 100th Giro d’Italia.
The Giro d’Italia is a world-renowned multiple-stage bicycle race held in Italy annually, which enjoys a good popularity and reaches a vast audience. The Japanese automaker’s generous sponsorship will be showcased by TVs, presses and online campaigns all over the world. Millions of people will have the access to this feast of motorcycles.
Honda will appoint a team of 30 motorcycles as the guards to escort the world cycling champions. The company will strive to offer the best bikes in its crossover range to the feast, in order to show its sincerity and power.
Honda X-ADV will be another protagonist of this great event. It’s the first crossover maxi-scooter, the pioneer of crossovers in the motorcycle world. The model born recently has almost nothing in common with the other models on the market. It leaves the fans with its modern and angular design, chain drive, wire wheels, high suspension, a powerful engine and other adventure-based gears.
Fans may feel disappointed about the absent of ADV 150 2021, which is still under development. But among the corps, there’re a couple of distinguished models, such as the CRF1000L Africa Twin, a legendary maxi-endurance model with a twin-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission, which can generate up to 94 hp and 98 Nm of torque.
The X-ADV also has a DCT, which enable the rider to change the gear seamlessly over terrains of all kinds. This could make other rivals of Honda envious as it’s a unique feature that is only accessible to Honda.
Apart from motorcycles, more than 130 cars will make their appearance in this feast. The Japanese automaker will introduce its new car models here, including the Civic, Civic Tourer, CR-V, HR-V and so on. Together with the two-wheel vehicles, they will escort the athletes all the way along the peninsula. The route covers a distance of 3,615 km. Their destination is the grand finale in Milan held on May 28th.
It’s not exaggerating at all to call this event a feast of motorcycles and automobiles. In the 350 hrs of programming and 190 hrs of live TV coverage, a daily amount of around four million people will watch this feast. Will you be one of them?
