To become a distinguished and outstanding person is the desire of each and everyone and when it comes to becoming a Distinguished Professor then we must think of the qualities that a person must possess to become a distinguished professor. But the basic question arises what are the qualities required to become a distinguished professor.
Since a professor is a person who is responsible for imparting quality education to his/her students then the foremost requirement is a sound academic record that shows his command over the subject he/she is supposed to teach He should be able to relate his actual experience in the application of course materials and offers examples from a variety of sources to support the content at the time when he teaching the students.
The second thing required is the communication skill that will help him to get connected with the students. As per Dr. Joby John, this is an important trait required in each professor. He should have to handle the students in an
efficient way and never stop them from raising queries and has to satisfy them with his answers.
The third essential trait is to put forward himself as a role model for the students. He must set an example before the students so that the students are influenced by him and willing to be taught by him.
Talking about the qualities we can go for a long way but the foremost requirement have been discussed above.
