Several companies sell commercially available weed-killing Agriculture Robots. Some Weeding machines are designed for backyard gardening. These little machines resemble vacuum cleaner robots for houses. However, there are additional machines designed to work on larger farms. Some weeding robots employ micro-doses of herbicide for commercial farming. The robot moves independently down the row of crops. It differentiates between crops and weeds using computer vision. Robot actuators stretch out when a weed is detected. Pesticide is applied directly to the weed in very small amounts. As a result, far fewer chemicals is used. Another strategy includes zapping weeds using lasers. As a result, this technique is chemical-free and has an organic certification.
