How to clean blackout window curtain?
The cleaning methods for shading curtains made of different materials may also vary, as follows:
1. Cloth curtains, just remove them and clean them directly. When soaking curtains, choose a cleaning agent based on the material of the curtains. Generally, use a neutral cleaning agent to soak the curtains, and then clean them. You can also soak it in clean water first, and then clean it with soda water. If it is still not clean, you can use mild performance laundry detergent and soapy water to clean it. When cleaning, gently rub it and then rinse it with clean water.
2. Curtains made of velvet, silk, and some high-end fibers can be directly cleaned using a washing machine. It is recommended to send curtains made of these materials to a dry cleaning shop for cleaning. This will not damage the material of the curtains. Velvet, flocked, and silk curtains should not be cleaned with a drum washing machine. If possible, they can be cleaned with a wave wheel washing machine. 3. Curtain surfaces made of plastic are not suitable for cleaning, as these materials are prone to damage when exposed to water and detergent.
