How to create a persona for your ideal candidate

𝗧𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲. Employers make a mistake in thinking that they should cast the net as wide as possible to attract as many candidates as possible – especially in a candidate short market.

While that IS true when you CAN go beyond skills and experience (which I encourage you to do as often as possible) IF you cannot compromise on experience or qualifications (health care professionals, accountants, lawyers, etc.) then you need to actually narrow your search.

The riches are in the niches. This video explains how to create a persona for your ideal candidate and then how to structure a job ad that speaks to either how they can attain their greatest desire – or avoid their greatest fear or frustration through your role.
