Troubleshooting Tips to Fix Orbi Router Offline Issue
Go through the below steps to resolve the Orbi router WiFi network offline issue:
Step 1: Firstly, you need to ensure that your modem is connected to the internet device through a hard wired connection. You may use the Ethernet cable for establishing the connection.
Step 2: In case, the network shows offline even after connecting through the hard wired connection then there may be possibility that there is some issue with the internet service. So, contact the internet service provider to fix the issue. Once the internet service is resolved, the network will get back to the online state again.
Step 3: If internet is working but devices are unable to establish the connectivity with network then there is possibility that you have made incorrect Orbi router settings. To fix this issue, power cycle the Orbi router by unplugging the power cord and then plug it again after 30 seconds.
Step 4: If the network issue is not resolved and you are facing denied access, no variation in LED lights issues then look at these steps:
- Ensure all the cables are connecting with your device are finger-tight.
- Power cycle the network
- The firmware of Orbi router for the wireless network is updated to latest version.
Step 5: Next, factory reset the Orbi router. For this, you have to press the power LED light on your router for 10-12 seconds by using the needle or paper clip and then release the button. It will reset the settings to the default setup and fix the network issue.
Step 6: Check and make sure that the power switch for your Orbi router or access point is turned on.
Step 7: Make sure that the Network adaptor is in enabled state.
Step 8: Renew the IP address details for the network adaptor. Here are the details for it:
- Click on the Start button and open the Run program. Enter cmd in the space provided.
- Now, you will see that the command prompt window will dispays on the screen.
- Enter “ipconfig/ release” in the given space.
- A new command prompt will opens where you have to enter “ipconfig/ renew”.
- Your device start getting the IP address. Make sure that the IP address is appropriate and other than 0.0.0.0 and 169.254.x.x.
Step 9: The password used to connect to the network is appropriate and in the case-sensitive format.
