How to install the Brother Control Center software

You now know how important a Brother Control Center can be to your user experience. Although it is easy to download the application from a Windows PC, it can be a little tricky if you are using a Mac. Once you have downloaded the program, it is time to install it on your PC. Follow these steps to download and install the program.

#1 – Download the Brother Control Center Update Tool

You can download the Control Center 4 Update Tool directly from Brother's website .

It's important that you note Control Center 4 as a Windows program if you are using a Mac machine. This means that Control Center 4 is not compatible with Mac OS. These steps will allow you to still download the application on your Mac.

To download the software, first click here.
Select your printer model and then the version of your Mac OS .
Next, choose the scanner driver.

#2 – Install the Brother Control Center Update

Follow these steps to install the file after you have downloaded it to your computer.

Double-click the CC4 Updator file you downloaded to your computer.
Click Yes or Run if you get a security warning.
Wait for the file compression to complete, then click OK.
If Brother Control Center 4 is running, the update will not complete. Click CLOSE if you see the icon in the system tray.
Double-click the ControlCenter4 Updator file that you have just found.
Click Yes or Run if you get a security warning.
Click Next. Wait for the installation to finish and then click End.
ControlCenter4 has been updated.

To install Brother Control Center 4, you must first download and install the complete driver and software package. To use your Brother printer cartridge, you can only install Control Center as part the complete Brother Printer driver software package.
