If you've never replaced the drum or toner cartridge unit of the drum unit of your Brother  printer before, you could feel the process is a bit difficult. In this short guide, we'll explain how to set them up for a variety of well-known Brother printers using lasers. It's a lot more straightforward than it seems!

The steps for installation can differ dependent on the printer you are replacing and the consumable you're replacing, but it's relatively simple when you're aware of how toner and drum unit function.

Steps To Change Toner Of Brother Printer

  1. Make sure you have the device switched on.
  2. Uncover the front cover.
  3. Take the cartridge for toner and drum unit out of the printer.
  4. Release the green lock lever, then remove the cartridge toner from the drum unit.
  5. Unpack the toner cartridge.
  6. Take off the protective cover.
  7. Insert the new toner cartridge tightly inside the drum until you can hear it lock in its place. Make sure you put the toner cartridge incorrectly or it may separate from the drum unit.
  8. Clean the corona cable inside the drum by moving on the tab in green from right to left and left to right several times. Be sure to return the tab to the Home position. The arrow on the tab must be aligned with the arrow on the drum unit. If it is not, printed pages may have a vertical stripe.
  9. Install the cartridge for toner and drum unit assembly in the machine.
  10. Cover the front to the machine.
