Class Code Description
A1 A product or a part thereof is defective because of an error in design or manufacture
B4 A product or a part thereof is defective because of an error in design or manufacture which was unknown to the seller at the time of sale
C2 The defectiveness of a product arises from its lack of safety– that is, there is danger to life or limb–or from some other serious harm caused by use (amount paid per occurrence multiplied by number of occurrences)
D3 The injury arises when a person uses a product in any way if it malfunctions—that is, if it lacks safety–which can cause serious harm (amount paid per occurrence multiplied by number of occurrences)

Professional/Errors and Omissions Liability

This class covers legal responsibility for injuries or property damage caused by professional personnel, such as doctors, dentists, architects, engineers, etc. It is also applicable to non-professionals who have been hired by a company to perform work on behalf of the company.
Products Liability Class Codes – A01 and A02
This class covers the liability of a business for injuries or property damage caused by their products. The class codes are used to determine the amount you pay for your policy.
