Apps like Zoom and Google Meet have made things pretty easier for people who rely on video conferencing calls. There are features in these apps that make the video conferencing experience better, plus there’s a Screen Share feature that allows the user to show what is happening on the main screen. It allows the user to help others understand and focus on certain things with less effort.

Screen Share feature is also available on Facebook Messenger for the same reason, but the video quality and other features are not up to the mark. Using the Screen Share feature on Google Meet is pretty simple, and you can use it on your Mac and Windows computers. Google Meet can be used for school, presentations, business, and other works. So if you’re willing to use it but have no idea about it, here’s the guide you should know.

Use Screen Share with Google Meet on Windows or Mac

Before getting to the point, make sure to update your macOS Mojave and Windows system. If you already know how to make calls using Google Meet, here’s what you must do for screen share.

  • Open Google Chrome on your macOS or Windows computer.
  • Visit meet.google.com and Sign in to your Google Account.
  • Over the main page of Google Meet, press Join Now to start the video calling session.
  • Once the video call is started, press Present Now at the lower-right side of the display.
  • Now over the Share, your screen display, click Your Entire Screen to share the full display.
  • Press Share to begin sharing the display with others.
  • Now, if you haven’t allowed Google Chrome to access the display, you’ll see an error message over a pop-up display.
  • Click the System Preferences option.
  • Now you’ll be redirected to the Security & Privacy tab.
  • Choose the Screen Recording option on the left window and mark over Google Chrome.
  • Now you’ll be redirected to the Google Chrome browser.
  • Refresh the web page and tap the Present option.
  • Now a notification will appear to share your screen. You can end Screen Share by clicking on the screen and tap the Stop presenting option.

That’s how you can start and end Screen Share on your Google Meet account. The great thing about Google Meet is that it can be used with any Google account; plus, it’s free. Screen Share on Google Meet was first launched for macOS users.

Screen Share is an in-build feature in Google Meet, so you won’t find it on another app. They’ll have to download and install the latest version of Windows to start using the Screen Share feature for any Windows user.

Google Meet is way secured, easier, and reliable than the Zoom app. It allows up to 100 users to join in a single meeting across any platform like iOS, Windows, or macOS.

Conclusion

Google Meet is packed with a huge variety of amazing features, including private calls and Screen Share. Users can also change their background to make their interview and business conference meeting formal.
