Want to unwind in the midst of the outdoors? Tall mountains, lovely valleys, and gorgeous streams may be found in Idukki. The mountains of Idukki are the source of the River Pamba. The small hill town of Idukki gets its name from the Malayalam term Idukku, which literally translates to “a narrow gorge.” The hills of Kuravan and Kurathi create a gorge on either side of the Periyar River, giving Idukki its name. The mist-covered hills of Idukki, a highland resort, are endowed with supernatural abilities. Idukki is home to forests of teakwood, rosewood, and sandalwood. Perceiving Things.

Other locations worth seeing in addition to Idukki's natural beauty include:

Along with a wide variety of snakes and birds like the laughing thrush, jungle fowl, and others, you may observe creatures like elephants, bison, sambhars, and deer.
