Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said this at a public meeting at Qora Civil Airport near Shahjalal International Airport. North Dhaka Awami League held this public meeting.

Looking ahead to the upcoming general elections, the Prime Minister said: People will vote freely in these elections. If people vote he will be in power, otherwise not.

Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina said the BNP was trying to spoil the elections. BNP wants to spoil the election. They are trying to take away people’s right to vote. Therefore, he urged his compatriots and the people of Dhaka to be careful.

Regarding the BNP’s participation in the elections, the Prime Minister said that the BNP was in a dilemma whether to come to the polling station or not. They will choose: Who is the leader? Was Khaleda Zia found guilty of embezzling orphans’ funds? Tariq Rahman, a fugitive convicted of murder? In fact, they know they cannot win the election.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the country would be destroyed if anyone other than the Awami League came to power. He said, “Would you like to dance to the words of the BNP?” This time, everyone said no. The Prime Minister inquired about the vote on the ship and said that the ship gives freedom to the country.
