Our Story and Philosophy
Kene Nete Healing Center was born out of a need to preserve the authenticity of ayahuasca ceremonies. Maestro Esteban and Maestra Olinda, our lead shamans, spent over 15 years working at various westernized retreats in Pucallpa and Iquitos, only to find that these retreats didn’t follow the Shipibo way. Disappointed by the lack of respect for their traditions, they teamed up with Urban, a Swedish man with a passion for alternative healing, to create an authentic ayahuasca retreat.
In 2020, after months of planning and building, Kene Nete Healing Center welcomed its first guest. Unlike other retreats, we don’t offer predefined programs. Instead, you choose the time period you’d like to come, and our shamans will craft a personal program tailored to your goals.
