It’s like the Howard Stern Effect

At least that's what Neverwinpokercom co-owner Bryan Micon, the self proclaimed King of all Degenerates, claims about the thousands or registered forum members at his oft controversial Web site.

“We know what they want,” Micon said. “It's like the Howard Stern Effect. They want to see what we'll do next.”

What's next for Neverwinpoker.com, however, is not quite as clear.  바카라

Pokernews.com, a gambling media outlet owned by professional poker player Tony Guoga (better known as Tong G), recently purchased Neverwinpoker.com for an undisclosed amount of money.

“Somewhere between $34,000 and $2.9 million,” Micon joked.

The merger is designed to put Pokernews.com's technological resources behind a forum that has a large following, but not much revenue, Micon said.

Pokernews.com is a little more mainstream than its recent acquisition, leaving some Neverwinpoker.com members wondering whether they days of racist jokes, free opinions and pornographic material are gone.

“Bottom line is Micon sells out,” posted Chinamaniac, a registered user.

The controversial site is the only uncensored community among poker's big four forums (twoplustwo.com, fullcontactpoker.com and pocketfives.com). Posts featuring Erica Schoenberg's breasts, anti-Semitic feelings and the Captain Tom Franklin/Brandi Hawbaker sex scandal are among the site's most visited threads.

There also is a special section where members can post their favorite pictures of nude females. Or pull pranks, where obscene pictures of naked men and naked elderly women pop up where a hot model was supposed to appear.

The uncensored material has made Neverwinpoker.com one of the Internet's largest poker forums with a following that is very loyal to the brand. But will the merger change that?

Micon said he recently was informed that Neverwinpoker.com has been home to illegal posts for sometime. Illegal content, like nude pictures of underage women and users engaged in illegal activities, will be more actively censored by moderators. The site will also add a feature to ensure that all users are over 18 years old. But everything else, including pictures of male and female genitalia, is still fair game.

“The site is just going to become what it should have been all along,” Micon said. “Basically, I've had an idea in mind of what the site should look like for years, but I was too lazy to get off my ass and do it. Now we will have the resources to add this massive list of awesome features I've been creating.”

Some new features may include an embedded hand history and expanded member profiles that will include links to Myspace.com pages and drop down boxes for additional information – like religion and other interests, said a secretive Micon.

“The whole idea of Neverwinpoker.com has always been that it's the best community on the Internet,” Micon said. “The forums are the backbone of the site. That won't change. They're just going to get a lot better and a lot more interactive.”

Micon believes the changes, the continued uncensored material and the addition of Tony G. as a personality will increase the user base beyond its 4,930 current members.

Twoplustwocom is the largest poker forum with more than 1,000 members logged at any given time. Fullcontactpoker.com was the second largest last month with Neverwinpoker.com and pocketfives.com battling for third, according to alexacom

“We draw in a certain type of user,” Micon said. “I like Twoplustwo.com and I go there sometimes, but let's be real; it's a forum for nerds. And Pocketfives.com is more for content. Their forums don't really compare to ours. In fact, no one's forum compares to ours. We will be the largest. I don't see anyone competing with us long term.”

Micon said Tony G. also plans to become a large presence in the forums. But his exact role has not been established yet.

“You've seen his shenanigans on television,” Micon said. “Our rich new overlord is probably not well received in other forums, but I bet he will be embraced by ours. I'd love to see him in one of our sweatsedos.”

Tony G. has already posted in the forums, challenging co-owner Dustin “Neverwin” Wolfe to a heads-up match for most of Wolfe's remaining share of the company. The best-of-five-heads-up match is rumored to be taking place at Mansion Poker.
