A family portrait taken by Japan-based Haruhiko Kawaguchi comes across an unusual situation. Haruhiko wraps the whole house in plastic even though it vacuum-seals itself in an airtight bag.
This trend of expressing “flesh love” among people is increasing.Haruhiko uses plastic to get into the memorial photo for the family, expressing his love for his wife and children.
Haruhiko poses with himself and his wife, vacuum-sealed in an airtight bag, and poses for a photo session. He also covered his house with plastic and did photo censorship by covering the trees on the road with airtight plastic to make them memorable. Kawaguchi named this incident a “commemorative photo for the family.”
The striking photos, which Kawaguchi describes as “commemorative photos for the family,” are part of his ongoing series “Flesh Love,” which explores human intimacy by shrinking people into plastic. It is a two-decade-long mission.
