Director Park Chung-gyun resigns
Teams that were in the bottom tier of professional soccer K-League 2 this season one after another parted ways with the head coaches who spent their first season in office.
Seoul E-Land announced on the 30th that it had terminated its contract with coach Park Chung-gyun (50) by mutual agreement.
Coach Park, who served as coach of Hanoi FC in Vietnam, coach of the Vietnam national team, and coach of Jeonbuk Hyundai in K League 1, was appointed as the head coach of E-Land with a three-year contract in November last year, but stepped down after playing only one season.
E-Land recorded 35 points with 10 wins, 5 draws, and 21 losses in the K-League 2 regular season this season, finishing in 11th place.
Coach Park said through the club, “I am grateful and sorry to the fans who supported us regardless of home or away. I worked hard all season to build a good team, but as a coach, I am upset that I failed to do so.”
He added, “It's a pity that I'm leaving without being able to properly greet the fans. I'm sincerely grateful to the fans who supported me throughout the season, and I hope for the future development of Seoul E-Land.”
The E-Land club announced that it will appoint a successor as soon as possible to prepare for the 2024 season.

Cheonan City FC, which ranked 13th (5 wins, 10 draws, 21 losses, 25 points), the lowest in K League 2 this season, also announced on this day the termination of its contract with coach Nam-yeol Park (53).
Coach Park, who had achieved success by leading the WK League Daekyo and women's national soccer teams in the past, served as the first head coach of Cheonan, which debuted on the professional stage for the first time this season, but left the team after a difficult first season.
