There are six Kalimas in Islam, each serving a unique purpose. Here is the recitation and translation for each of them:
1. First Kalima (Kalima Tayyab): Arabic (Recitation): لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ Translation: There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
2. Second Kalima (Kalima Shahadat): Arabic (Recitation): أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ Translation: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, the One without any partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.
3. Third Kalima (Kalima Tamjeed): Arabic (Recitation): سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ Translation: Glory be to Allah, and all praise is for Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. And there is no power nor strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.
4. Fourth Kalima (Kalima Tauheed): Arabic (Recitation): لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ Translation: There is no god but Allah, alone without any partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over everything.
5. Fifth Kalima (Kalima Astaghfar): Arabic (Recitation): أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبِّي مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ أَذْنَبْتُهُ عَمَدًا أَوْ خَطَأً سِرًّا أَوْ عَلَانِيَةً وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ الَّذِي أَعْلَمُ وَمِنَ الذَّنْبِ الَّذِي لَا أَعْلَمُ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ Translation: I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, for every sin I have committed intentionally or unintentionally, secretly or openly, and I turn towards Him from the sin that I know and from the sin that I do not know. Surely You, You are the Knower of the unseen.
6. Sixth Kalima (Kalima Radde Kufr): Arabic (Recitation): اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ بِهِ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لَا أَعْلَمُ بِهِ تُبْتُ عَنْهُ وَتَبَرَّأْتُ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالشِّرْكِ وَالْكِذْبِ وَالْبِدْعَةِ وَالشِّهَادَةِ الزُّورِ وَالْفُحْشِ وَالسُّيُوْءِ وَالْبُؤْسِ وَالصُّرَفِ فِي الْمَالِ وَالذُّرَّيَّةِ تُبْتُ إِلَى اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ Translation: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do not know. I repent from disbelief, associating partners with You, lying, innovation, false testimony, obscenity, evil, poverty, and the excessive pursuit of wealth and children. I turn to Allah, the Lord of all worlds.
These Kalimas are fundamental in Islam, representing the core beliefs and principles of the faith.
