If you are hosting a party at your place, you should consider your pet’s personality as well.

Would your pet prefer to stay in a quiet space where they could rest alone? Set up a secluded place in your house with some music to keep the noise from the party out, and give them a toy to distract themselves with. Talk with your veterinarian if you need to find ways to address your pet’s anxiety in these situations.

Is your pet eager to party? Ensure all exits are accounted for because they might zoom past all the guests in excitement and suddenly be outside the house. You can also prepare for this by having your pet wear a collar with a tag or register them with a microchip to find them easily. Talk to your guests so they aren’t giving out any treats your pet isn’t supposed to have.

Greet the holiday season surrounded by everyone you love, and let your pet enjoy the celebration with you as safely as possible.

Any sign of an illness exhibited by your pet should be brought to the attention of your professional vet Bellaire, TX
