Olympic Torch Association Sports Awards Ceremony Announcement.
Swimming Kim Woo-min (Gangwon Provincial Office), who was selected as the Korean men's best player (MVP) at this year's Hangzhou Asian Games, and the track and field men's team, which won a bronze medal in the 400m relay at the Hangzhou Asian Games, will participate in the 26th Korean Olympics. He was selected as the winner of the Seonghwa Association Sports Award in the athlete category.
The Korean Olympic Torch Association announced on the 14th that it will hold the 26th Sports Awards Ceremony and Winter Academic Seminar at the Olympic Parktel in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 15th.
In the award ceremony athlete category, Kim Woo-min, three-gold winner of the Hangzhou Asian Games, national team (Kook-young Kim, Seung-hwan Ko, Jeong-tae Lee, Won-jin Park, Jae-seong Lee), who won the bronze medal for the first time in 37 years in the men's 400m relay, and Seong-hoon Cheon (Chungbuk Bicycle Federation), winner of the 2022 Asian Mountain Bike Championships was selected as the winner.
Jang Jae-geun, head of the Jincheon Athletes' Village, received the Achievement Award, and Jeon Dong-hyeon, head coach of the national swimming team, received the Guidance Award.
Professor Kim Seok-gyu of Dongguk University was selected as the recipient of the Research Award, and Professor Shin Jae-eun of Chung-Ang University was selected as the recipient of the Young Researcher Award.
Also, at this event, Chairman Oh Gyeong-rok (Professor at Kyung Hee University) will resign and the 14th Chairman Gyu-Cheong Cho (Professor at Hanshin University) will be inaugurated.
