What is Deep Point Blade?

How does it work?

This is called a Deep Cut blade, and it opens up the possibilities of even more materials that can be cut with a Cricut, such as thin sheets of wood, leather, cork, felt, chipboard, and even soda cans.
The Deep Cut Blade will fit with any model when you install Cricut Explore and is a great method to expand a fantastic machine. After purchasing a Deep Cut Blade, you’ll need to install Cricut Explore. Don’t worry; this process is super simple to do.
Here are the guidelines to install Cricut Explore for Deep Cut Blade
First, you have to install the Cricut Explore machine. In it, Deep Cut Blade comes in 2 pieces. You have the blade and the blade housing. There is a blue rubber tip covering the blade. Always remove the rubber cap carefully.
The Blade Housing is the black piece from the package—a piece on the bottom that can be pushed up and down. While holding the housing in one hand with your thumb down, press the bottom base into the housing. With the blade on, carefully release the blade into the housing.
The blade is pulled in when you leave the housing base, and the Deep Cut Blade is ready to use. Don’t worry; the blade housing has a great grip on that blade and won’t fall out.
To install Cricut Explore, open the door labeled B on the carriage. Drop the black Deep Cut Blade into the same compartment and close the B door. Pull the original blade straight out in an upward direction. That’s it; it is installed.
The front lid of the Cricut Explore also has a small compartment that you can open to store your blade, so it doesn’t misplace. Also, the Deep Cut Blade will fit inside.
