The Maine Coon cats are good mouse chasers — thanks to their humongous size and shaggy-looking coat. Their bodies are large and well-proportioned. These cats have a broad chest and muscular body supported by medium-sized legs. The Maine Coon cats walk on round paws surrounded by fur. Their paws look like “snowshoes” when winter comes.
The cats’ muscular bodies are covered by a smooth but shaggy coat. The coat on the shoulders is shorter but longer on the britches and stomachs. Their heads are medium in size with eyes that come in varying colors such as copper, gold, and green.
What about the coat patterns? The most common marking is brown tabby. But these felines also come in solid colors, such as red, white, or black, and other tabby patterns, including calico and tortoiseshell.
