Meet Rohan Rawat, a man with numerous feathers in his cap. He is currently South Asia Educational partner for Georgian College. He handle students from many countries under his wing, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan. The people in education industry look upto him as a role model. He is also the Trade commissioner for Fashion with Indian Economic Trade Organisation. However he is a lot more than just these positions. Rawat believes that in order to uplift yourself you need to lift someone else up. His life embodies just that. He is amiable and ambitious, a true nurturing presence who is helping students fulfill their dream of studying abroad. It is a rocky journey to be able to figure out the steps to get into a good college abroad but, with experts like him on hand, students have not a thing to worry about. He has counselled more than 1 lakh students in his career in the education industry.


He works with organisations that help South Asian students with the right college/university and right courses. They also offer end-to-end support for visa application process from pre-departure to post landing to students.  The visionary adds, “Every kid has potential, only the right environment can bring it out in them”. He has been a working professional for well over 15 years and he takes his job with seriousness in-fact his links with international educational institutions have facilitated a number of students in getting admissions in prestigious universities abroad. The man is a true gem and is intellectually adept, having procured a degree in MBA, a post graduate degree from NIFT and an executive degree from ISB. He has carved out a great career for himself and wishes to do the same for the youth of the South Asian students.


Rohan is adapted to people from all over the world. Rohan has been very interactive & has interacted with students from multiple countries during his visits. His job has let him travel and experience different cultures. He has in-depth knowledge about student life in other countries, which is why he provides mammoth help in expressing to South Asian students to help them make the right choice. He has travelled Nepal and Sri Lanka and has updated knowledge about the countries and ways of education. Canada is almost like a second home to him with all the students he has helped to live out their dreams there.


An astounding well-rounded education is what Rawat also wishes students to have at Georgian. He says, “We are aiming to expand in some cities, where we are still lacking to fetch in good students. We are working towards opening other campuses as well for international students to take more admissions”. He also believes that come what may education should never stop, calamities and hurdles shouldn’t hinder learning. He has thorough knowledge about digital classes and is a man of the techno age.


Rohan apart from his busy working hours has his time to himself and is a progressive Animal Activist, he has rescued animals in need with the help of volunteers working for his NGO – “Karma for Tuffy”. He has also been a part of a campaign called Voice of the Voiceless” wherein he has been covered by various magazines. He has also worked with Ignite India which educates underprivileged students & believes in education for all. The list is quite endless. We can only take away to never stop learning to keep updating our skills and keep travelling the world. If given a chance, add another feather to your hat!
