“I am Mayuri Patel, quit my job in 2022 to become full-time travel Blogger. Earlier I had full-time job in India but I moved to the United States with my husband after living 4 years in long distance relationship!”
Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
I am an Engineer by education and Blogger by profession. Being a blogger that too for full time was not on card for me ! I was happy with the hustling of job and travel but life had twists so I chose to become full time Blogger now! I share my travel experiences and helpful guides on my blog be it food, culture, history or architecture.
Describe how you first get into blogging?
I was reading so many blogs to get as much information as I can whenever I was planning trips. So, I also thought why not to share my experiences in the form of this journal. I never took it seriously though because I had full time demanding government job! It was my husband who insisted me to start it and record my ideas and experiences in digital way! And today, I look back at it , It's good decision as this will be forever with me as journal!
How would you describe your blogging style?
I prefer to write experiential, mostly about places that I have been to, and things that I have experienced myself. I have a very simple writing style so that more and more people can read and benefit from it ! I also do it from SEO perspective as it's better to know about user's requirements!
What type of networking do you think is better to enhance your traffic to the blog?
Networking is essential part of Blogging. I have felt that helping each other and connecting with fellow bloggers are best way to know about the blogging terms and taking it to next level! Facebook Groups are best to help each other.
What do you think is the best service a blogger can provide to their readers?
Authentic experiences and expertise in your niche are important for the readers to trust the writer.
How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?
I have set schedule to write my blogs on daily Basis. Blog is very demanding job I am saying this again! It's lot more work than typical 9-5 job! Eventually, If you are a blogger and writing is your job, it's pretty easy for you to stick to schedule.
How do you want to improve yourself in the next year?
I would love to know more about SEO and keep generating new content from user point of view.
What was your greatest failure and what did you learn from that?
My greatest failure has been not keeping myself updated with SEO and the time-changing algorithms of Google. Now as I am blogging full-time, It's important to know basics of SEO, Keywords, backlinks and so on. I have to learn a lot about many things.
Tell me about your proudest achievement?
My blog is my identity now ! I worked with Tourism Boards and different brands. It has given me experiences and collaborations as a blogger ! I am proud of my work.
Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?
I enjoy reading blogs from different countries and how those bloggers have achieved through their blogs! I really appreciate their writing and it keep me going to write more and more ! But none in particular, has impacted me.
What is your greatest achievement outside of blogging?
I quit my job and now following my heart and passion- I guess its my greatest achievement as not many people can leave their well paying job to follow the fear of unknown!!
What do you do in your spare time?
I watch movies and mostly I plan my travels, read articles to improve my blogs. I also keep learning from new courses and free YT videos to keep improving myself as a Blogger.
Where would you like to be in blogging five years from now?
I would like to be known for unique, good, and authentic content and would love to work with more Brands in the future.
What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
Many times, it gets difficult to write regularly because of family and travel. To juggle everything is a challenge on certain days.
Can you name some of your favorite bloggers and explain why they are your favorites?
All my blogger and vlogger friends who have been writing regularly and are serious about their blogs are my favorite.
How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
I love writing and creating content. As far as I am alive, I will keep busy with my blog and writing! It's like part of my life and I can't imagine life without it!
Can you tell me about a few sources from where you get products for review on your site?
I mostly get it from PR agencies.
What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?
People are not reading much. A good blog is easily made up of 2000-3000 words. People have become short spanned and they are lured by videos. I hate that Instagram influencing also taking away the real fun of blogging.
What is the biggest difference in your life post-blogging?
I read blogs to plan my own trips and I reach out to them if I need any help. Same way, It feels good when my blog and Itinerary posts help people from around the world while planning their trips.
Did you have any professional help or did you create the blog yourself?
My husband's friend designed my initial website and I did all the settings etc myself. Typically It took me one year to learn all the stuff about WordPress Blog. I kept learning year by year. I then redesigned my blog with the help of developer to make it more user friendly.
How active are you on a weekly basis? How often do you communicate with your followers?
I try to create 1-2 posts per week. I take my own time to publish posts!
How much time do you spend blogging?
I try to dedicate 5 days a week for the Blogging.
What do you think is the best social media strategy for getting more visitors to a blog?
Try to write more and publish more ! Google loves authority in your niche and one should follow this!

A hobby turned into a profession.
A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog?
First thing, it is not an easy way to make money. But if you wish to earn money from blog, then better to learn about SEO Game and be regular to publish content!
