Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU) previously known as a Rohtak University was established in 1976. The University received the recognition from University Grants Commission (UGC) – the higher educations regulatory body of India- for central Govt. Grants in Feb. 1983. It is based in Rohtak (Haryana) and is in easily reachable distances from both National Capital (Delhi) and State Capital (Chandigarh). Nearly 584 institutions/colleges are affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU). The University offers a wide range of courses in Management, Information Technology, Medical, Engineering, Education etc. MDU B.Ed Admission is also a very famous and demanding course throughout Haryana and India.
