Although Hair used in black ponytail extension or any other extension that are all virgin, Remy, and non-Remy hair is 100 percent human hair, still they are not the same.

Virgin hair is hair that has never been chemically treated or dyed and is 100 percent human. Remy's hair is human ponytail hair with one direction cuticle that can be colored or treated. Any hair from a human scalp counts as 100 percent human hair, which can originate from a hair salon floor, a brush, or even a corpse. And now you understand why knowing the differences between the three is so important!

Treatments, however, aren't the only factor to consider, as Daniel explained. We need to investigate the production procedures that distinguish low-cost wigs from high-end wigs

Human Hair (Virgin)

Toxic chemicals and colors have never stained virgin European hair. However, as Daniel pointed out, it is no longer available. Manufacturers used to source virgin hair mostly from China, India, Vietnam, and Russia decades ago. Women in the countryside could make a decent living selling their virgin ponytails with the cuticles pointing in the same direction, known as “Remy” hair, at the time.

Manufacturers are no longer able to obtain genuine European hair. It got more difficult to find virgin European hair that hadn't been chemically processed as hair trends and patterns changed.

Daniel, on the other hand, has spent decades perfecting the craft of human hair wigs, collecting a private collection of around 135,000 pounds of premium European hair.

“We are the only ones with a large quantity of virgin European natural hair,” says the company. If you purchase one of our Chic or Grandeur wigs, you'll notice that it hasn't been chemically treated and will last you for years.”

What is the difference between Remy and non-Remy hair?

To put it bluntly, it doesn't. Hair that isn't Remy While non-Remy hair is 100 percent human hair, it is substantially less expensive because of its greater availability.

What is the source of the hair for the manufacturers?

The majority of manufacturers combine hair from China, Vietnam, and India. To speed up production, the hair is chemically processed in large acid baths to remove the cuticles.

“Let's say you pick up non-Remy hair from the floor; it'll be a jumble of textures. Perming a lower-quality wig is one approach to mend it. All of that hair has been heavily processed, whether it's straight or curly “Daniel clarified.

As a result, the product is “one size fits all.”

The issue with this procedure is that each of us has a different hair type. You deserve a wig made of wavy, fine hair if you have wavy, fine hair, right?

Human Hair Remy

Remy and virgin hair are not the same, contrary to popular perception. Remy's hair is unprocessed natural hair that can be treated or left unprocessed. To make them ready to wear, Remy hair wigs and extensions often come with highlights, lowlights, and color treatment. However, just because something is labeled as Remy doesn't guarantee it's of high quality.

The origin and manufacturing techniques are the two most important aspects of premium Remy hair. Daniel Alain works with European hair and sorts it by cuticle direction and kind (thick, thin, fine, coarse, curly, straight). To generate as much as possible, most producers immerse every hair in an acid bath. Unfortunately, because the cuticles aren't intact, the hair's direction isn't uniform, and the quality suffers.
