On April 29, 2021, Honda officially unveiled the all-new Civic (Generation 11) overseas, which will be available in the North American market this summer, following the launch of a hatchback version.

In terms of the exterior, the new Civic has also seen a dramatic change, ditching the iconic slideback rear and “C-shaped” headlights in favor of a more traditional three-box sedan with milder headlights.

In terms of appearance, the new car basically continues the previous release of the prototype car design style, compared with the current model, the new generation appears more introverted, and positioning higher Accord more similar. The overall design of the front face is more flat, and the long and narrow large light group is connected with the central grille, which widens the lateral vision of the new car. Meanwhile, the inside of the front enclosure is decorated with black horizontal trim, and the fog lamp frame is decorated with the familiar “C” trim.

It can be said that the new Civic has abandoned many of the “new and different” signature elements of the current Civic, and the overall style tends to be more mature, close to the “Accord” and “Inspire”, which may also represent a subtle change in the positioning of the Civic user group.

At the same time, it is worth mentioning that the new Civic will also cancel the manual transmission model and match the CVT transmission due to the declining demand for the manual transmission model. For many domestic car fans friends, this is really a sad news.

The interior part, the new Civic also ushered in a huge upgrade, full LCD dashboard and suspension of the central control screen on the car, and the current model is completely different. At the same time, air conditioning air outlet adopts flat design, the sense of space inside the car is more sufficient. Compared with cash, such interior design, presumably will be favored by more consumers.

In the car side of the new car to more highlight the body of the line outline, while using a more personalized two-color wheel, looks dynamic. In terms of body size, the data of the new car is 4674 in length, 1802 in width, and 1415mm in height respectively, and the wheelbase is 2735mm (domestic declaration information). Both the body and wheelbase are longer than the cash money.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a low/high power calibrated 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 129hp and 182hp respectively, corresponding to the “180Turbo” and “240Turbo” tailtags. In terms of transmission system, the new generation Civic may match the CVT gearbox.

On the specs side, we note that the new Civic comes with a Bose stereo, an electronic handbrake, automatic parking, two USB ports and wireless charging. In terms of safety features, the new Civic will be equipped with Honda Sensing, which integrates active driving assistance such as adaptive cruise, lane keeping assistance and traffic jam assistance.
