TD: One of the things we're all really proud of with 7.2 is the fact that we're offering an abundance of WOTLK Gold content. It's the largest patch that we've every done in WoW and to your fact, there's an abundance of different players of WoW, there's a lot of different styles of play.

It's my opinion that we're appealing to all demographics. There are things on here like Pet Battle Dungeons for those who prefer to log on and take part in Pet Battles. We've got a whole World of Warcraft Quest. Outdoor world players that don't want playing in raids or dungeons, will find something to offer.

Many players of the gaming subreddit complained about the shorter than usual pre-patch, as many didn't have enough time to schedule their schedules for the patch launch or simply wanted more the time they could play with their new characters up to level 60 before the release of Burning Crusade.

As the user Periodiko highlights on the subreddit of the game in an update to a comment on the topic of pre-patch duration, Blizzard hasn't officially stated how long the pre-patch would be prior to their decision to announce it, “The explicit intention of the pre-patch allowing players to level up [Blood Elves and Draenei was for them to be able to get to 60 in preparation for TBC. It is expected that there will be a reasonable timeframe to complete that in…it just seemed tremendously unlikely we'd get only two weeks since that is a very bad way to do it.”

Unfortunately, the announcement about the pre-patch wasn't the only one to be a source of concern for the WoW Classic community. The introduction of numerous paid services that didn't exist within WoW Classic or cheap WOTLK Classic Gold the original version of the Burning Crusade, have also caused a stir. When you pre-patch, a level 58 character boost called the “Dark Portal Pass” is available to buy one time per account for $40.
