Does more expensive cars mean better? Let’s compare Perodua Aruz with Honda BR-V. Malaysia Honda has refurbished the Honda BR-V before 2020. It is meaningful to compare the two models launched in the same year.

So, how much are the prices of these two cars?

Due to changes in industry trends and market fluctuations, the new Honda BR-V is at least RM9,000 more expensive than previous models. The price of the Honda BR-V 1.5E is RM 89,900 and the price of the Honda BR-V 1.5V variant is RM 96,900.

Meanwhile, the Perodua Aruz prize at WapCar ranges from MYR 72,900 to MYR 77,900  (original price). This brings the difference between the two highest variants of this model to RM 19,000

Perodua Aruz is basically similar to Toyota Avanza, they are very similar. The car is powered by a 1.5-liter 2NR-VE dual VVT-i gasoline engine, which can produce 102 PS horsepower and 133 Nm of torque. In contrast, the Honda BR-V uses a 1.5-liter SOHC i-VTEC engine, which can produce 120 PS horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, far exceeding Perodua Aruz.

This means that the Honda BR-V drives more smoothly than Perodua Aruz and saves more fuel. The BR-V driving style based on the car platform makes your driving more like ordinary driving than the Harsier Honda BR-V.

In terms of safety functions, the safety performance of Perodua Aruz far exceeds that of Honda BR-V. The new Honda BR-V facelift does not come with added safety features, but it still has 2 airbags, vehicle stability assist system stability assist system and traction control system grip control system. Perodua Aruz provides ASA 2.0 driver assistance system. ASA 2.0 comes with a software package that includes pre-vibration warning, pre-vibration braking, forward motion warning and pedal error control.

The difference in the infotainment system of the Honda BR-V and Perodua Aruz caused the two cars to be quoted very differently. Perodua Aruz is once again equipped with equipment specifically for Malaysians. The Perodua Aruz infotainment system is a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with a navigation system that can introduce you to tolls and has a Smartlink function for Android phones. The Honda BR-V only provides Bluetooth network sharing and hands-free handsets.

In addition, Perodua Aruz is equipped with 6 airbags and a built-in driving recorder, with the help of vehicle stability control stability and traction control grip control.

The value of these two models generally depends on the user. If you like smooth driving, the Honda BR-V is more attractive. Even so, Perodua Aruz is more worthwhile in Malaysia's price-sensitive car ownership trend.
