The plano rotary foundation is a plano-based non-profit which has been in existence since 2010. It's a philanthropic organization that provides educational opportunities, assists the disadvantaged and builds community infrastructure. The plano rotary foundation seeks to create lasting change locally, nationally and globally for those in need, with an emphasis on creating change at home. Their work includes mentorship programs, sponsoring international students studying in plano, providing scholarships for graduating high school seniors wanting to study abroad or become teachers themselves and various other initiatives such as constructing wells in developing countries.
This year plano rotary will be premiering their new plano rotary plano international high school, where plano rotary members teach classes and other plano residents volunteer their time.
The plano rotary foundation holds its annual plano christmas parade which has been in existence since 1959. Its primary aim is to celebrate the advent of the Christmas season by providing entertainment for children and adults alike.
