Prana Air CO2 sensor is based on NDIR (Non- Dispersive Infrared radiation) technology. This technique is widely used to detect carbon based gases that are present in air. The absorption wavelength of carbon dioxide in this technology is 4.26 um. The infrared radiation is passed through the carbon dioxide gas when it hits the sensor surface. Upon this, some frequency is absorbed by CO2 and with its measurement, the concentration of gas can be determined.
