Was the last time you put on a puffer coat, was when you were coming home from the gym or school? With the raging athleisure trend showing no signs of petering out, it’s the turn of the puffer coat to have its moment to shine. A puffer coat is one of the coziest outerwear styles you can add to your wardrobe– whether you style it with an elevated outfit or wear it over your workout gear.

In this blog, we will be taking a look at how puffer coats have made a return to the forefront of fashion and how they’re no longer just casual winter jackets. But before we get started, let us take a look at what a puffer jacket is. This will help us better understand why this jacket style is all the rage these days.

Puffer jackets, sometimes called quilted jackets, come with a unique quilted design with sections that are “puffy” amidst the stitches. They can be filled with down insulation or synthetic fibers. Both come with a high level of warmth depending on how well they are made and the quality of the synthetic fibers. This outerwear is easy to compress and lightweight making it ideal for very active people.

The “puffs” of a wholesale puffer jacket are created by the combination of the insulation layer and stitching. Wholesale puffer jackets usually have vertical and horizontal puffers are the most common patterns in the market. That said, a few brands offer square and other shapes that provide a more fitted, practical jacket that lasts longer.

Fast forward to this winter and blank puffer jackets are all over the social media feeds.  In the age of comfort-driven fashion, it’s about time that we brought back this minimalistic silhouette. You do not need to be going outside in the snow to wear a puffer coat. While we love a regular jacket, their classic puffer coat isn’t just for those days when you have to go skiing. You can make the style your own by playing around with a variety of colors and pastels.
