First, let’s start with physical aspects; the oval case is not heavy and adjusts in pockets easily. Every earbud is inserted comfortably in your ears, with the optional soft silicone ear hooks in the ergonomic factor. It looks that Tronsmart is focusing on the bad design decisions in their other earbuds.
Tronsmart Air+ true wireless earbuds had everything but the designs, so I’m happy that the Onyx Prime buds have some great images. Further, the only change is to fit a flatter base, so thecae are set upright. Honestly, this doesn’t matter that much in the phase of practicality. It just made the photography job a troublesome task.
Credit goes to the Qualcomm QCC3040 chip; the Prime earbuds carry plenty of audio codecs, along with Adaptative AptX and Qualcomm aptX. The Hybrid Dual Drivers works great to accelerate a fun, and punchy sound that is much livelier than its predecessor Bass is rich and heavy sounding, accompanied by well-balanced treble and mids. Vocals can be heard individually, and distinctly instrumental sounds sit out properly. TrueWireless Mirroring Technology is equipped by earbud mirrors the sound of the other to deliver a perfect connection.
I have no complaints about the touch controls as they work amazingly. You can personalize through the companion app on your Android phone. I love how the speaking of the app goes quick, and smoothly; it is set with the Onyx Prime true wireless earbuds. You can change between music mode and gaming mode in the app. There is an equalizer that permits you to choose from different audio presets. It doesn’t go with the flow; you can personalize the sound profile and hit save to store the settings.
Tronsmart phone app is excessively user-friendly, with no doubt and no fluff. It is so simple to get the hang of the equalizer and personalize touch controls. I can’t worry about the importance of a good Android app enough. Tronsmart wants the experience to be as easy and casual as possible. The 40hour battery life is amazing, though I wish the IPX4 waterproof rating was a little sturdier. Nevertheless, that is more than good enough for workout sessions.
What you would not like
Tronsmart surely had to remove some corners to meet that cheap $50 price tag. I have raved so much about Onyx Prime so far, but these wireless earbuds did have to adjust.
One of the first issues with the Tronsmart Onyx Prime true wireless earbuds is ANC. Rather the lack of ANC. It is simply finding is simple to find a filthy affordable set of buds with active-noise cancellation. The Onyx Prime buds reduce noise over you when you take them on, but that is flawed.
