The Meerut Mavericks produced a dominant performance in the UPT20 League 2026 final, defeating the Lucknow Falcons by 94 runs to lift the coveted trophy. Led by Rinku Singh, Meerut delivered an emphatic all-round display at Green Park and secured their second UPT20 League title.
The victory was particularly significant for Rinku Singh, who guided the Mavericks to their first championship under his captaincy. After reaching the final in every edition of the competition, Meerut once again demonstrated why they have been one of the tournament's most consistent teams.
Meerut Mavericks Dominate the UPT20 2026 Final
Rinku Singh won the toss and opted to bat first, a decision that quickly proved to be a masterstroke. Meerut Mavericks posted an imposing 203/7 in 20 overs, putting the Lucknow Falcons under enormous pressure from the beginning.
The star of the innings was young opener Divyansh Joshi, who produced a spectacular century. Joshi smashed 105 runs from just 40 deliveries, including 12 fours and seven sixes, giving Meerut a powerful platform and ensuring they finished with a formidable total.
The aggressive batting performance was exactly what Meerut needed in a high-pressure final. With the scoreboard constantly moving, the Falcons were left with a difficult target and little margin for error.

Lucknow Falcons Struggle Under Pressure
Chasing 204 for victory, Lucknow Falcons never managed to establish momentum. Their batting lineup struggled against Meerut's disciplined bowling attack and eventually collapsed for 109 runs in 16 overs. Meerut therefore completed a massive 94-run victory.
The result was even more impressive considering Lucknow had defeated Meerut in Qualifier 1 by 47 runs only a few days earlier. Bhuvneshwar Kumar's side had therefore entered the final with confidence, but Meerut produced a completely different performance when the trophy was on the line.
Rinku Singh’s Leadership Takes Centre Stage
For Rinku Singh, the UPT20 League 2026 title represents an important milestone in his leadership journey. Known primarily for his explosive finishing ability, Rinku has now added a major domestic captaincy achievement to his growing cricket profile.
His leadership throughout the campaign helped Meerut remain competitive even after setbacks late in the tournament. The Mavericks had started the season strongly, winning seven consecutive matches, and their ability to bounce back after losing Qualifier 1 showed their resilience.
The title also adds another chapter to Meerut's impressive UPT20 record. The franchise reached the final for the fourth consecutive season and ultimately secured its second championship.
A Memorable UPT20 League 2026 Triumph
The UPT20 League 2026 final will be remembered for Meerut Mavericks' complete dominance. From Divyansh Joshi's breathtaking century to Rinku Singh's leadership and the team's disciplined bowling, every department contributed to the comprehensive victory.
Defeating Lucknow Falcons by 94 runs not only delivered the trophy but also demonstrated Meerut's ability to respond strongly when it mattered most. For Rinku Singh and the Meerut Mavericks, the UPT20 League 2026 championship marks a memorable achievement and another major step in their growing legacy.
