Cats can be quite mysterious at times. They may bite you one minute, then snuggle up with you the next. Most of the time, kitty's quirks are just cute and amusing. However, they can backfire. Cats instinctively try to hide signs of illness. This can make it hard to tell if your pet is sick!

Here are some things to look for:

  • Lack of Appetite
  • Poor Grooming
  • Changes in behavior (an aloof cat becoming super cuddly, or a cuddly cat suddenly acting aggressive.
  • Weight Gain or Loss
  • Increase/Decreased Thirst
  • Limping
  • Lethargy
  • Respiratory Issues
  • Withdrawal
  • Discharge or watering of the eyes or nose
  • Thin/Dull Fur
  • Changes in vocalizations
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Litterbox Issues
  • Fever
  • Straining To Urinate

If you notice any of these things in your cat, reach out to your vet Westminster, MD right away to make an appointment. Your cat may already be quite ill before you notice anything wrong, so it's important to get her diagnosed and treated immediately.
