The Shop, as a brand, was started in 1970 with a focus on designed hand-printed textiles for the home. They have diversified both in product offering – home, clothing and accessories as well as in techniques – dyeing, printing, quilting, aplique and hand and machine embroidery since then and are a one-stop choice for handcrafted materials. They have taken upon themselves the task of being the interface between ancient craft techniques and the etching of a gainful means of livelihood for generations of these rural mavericks.
Annually, the brand brings along a range of handcrafted wonders at their Mulmul Mela. This year the event will be held on April 6 and 7 at The Amethyst, Whites Road, Royapettah. Indulge in a contemporary collection of clothing, accessories and home decor that is much sought after by top retailers across the globe. They have a wide product range that consists of Bed Linen, Table Linen, Kitchen, Clothing, Nightwear, Kids, Stoles and Bags.
The Shop has almost five decades of experience in creating a style that follows modern sensibilities with traditional techniques. It has a strong commitment to quality, the environment, community and design to make shopping as responsible as it is fun!
