NEW DELHI: Huami, a Xiaomi-owned brand, has launched its latest smartwatch, the Amazfit Neo, in China, the company announced today. The smartwatch is available in three color options: black, green, and orange, and it costs 299 yuan (Rs 3,210).

Also announced is that the wearable is already available for purchase in the country, according to the manufacturer.

The Amazfit Neo is equipped with a 1.2-inch STN LCD display that is energy-efficient and promises to provide great visibility even in bright sunlight. There are four buttons on the smartwatch's plastic shell, which makes it easy to wear.

The smartwatch is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones and other mobile devices.

The Amazfit Neo is equipped with a heart rate monitor that can be used 24 hours a day and is water resistant up to 50 meters. In addition to offering three sports modes — running, walking, and cycling — the wearable includes PAI health analysis. It also includes features for activity tracking and sleep monitoring, among other things.

On the smartwatch, users can also receive notifications for phone calls, text messages, emails, the weather, and other apps.

Powered by a 160mAh battery, the Huami Amazfit Neo promises to provide 28 days of battery life under normal conditions and 37 days in extreme conditions, according to the manufacturer.

Huami debuted the Amazfit Zepp E smartwatch in the United States earlier this month. Currently available for $249, the smartwatch is water-resistant and equipped with an internal battery that can last up to 7 days on a single charge, according to the company's claims. According to the manufacturer, it takes 2 hours to fully charge the wearable device. A total of 11 different sports modes are included with the wristwatch, including walking on a treadmill, running, skiing, climbing, and other activities.

Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) health evaluation is also included with the wearable, as is monitoring of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). The wristwatch also provides notifications for calls, messages, emails, and other events in addition to these features.
