Here is an article on The Importance of Fasting During Zill Hajj offered by our travel organization with the packages for Umrah 2022 from Manchester. The month of Dhul Hajj is known as Pilgrimage Month. Fasting is encouraged during the first nine days of the month, with the ninth day (the Day of Arafa) being especially important. Fasting on this day helps expiate your sins from the previous year and the present year, says Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The Islamic calendar's 12th month is Zill Hajj. Pilgrimage is a significant part of this holy month.

The first ten days of Dhul Hajj, according to our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH, are a special period for devotion. For those who are unable to travel for the pilgrimage, this is a rare opportunity to remember Allah and devote more time to devotion and exact acts. The first 10 days of Dhul Hajj are Allah SWT's most favored days for you to worship Him within, Abu Hurairah R.A said, quoting the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Fasting for one year is similar to fasting for one day during these days. And conducting Salatul Tahajjud (late-night prayer) on one of its nights is equivalent to performing Qadr on one of its nights.

Fasting during the ten days of Dhul Hajj is one of those occasions when a Muslim can receive a greater reward than if he or she fasts on any other day of the Islamic year. Anyone who fasts for one day for Allah's pleasure. Allah would keep his face away from the (Hell) fire for (a distance spanned by a voyage of) seventy years, Prophet PBUH declared in one of His hadiths. Seeking forgiveness from Allah Almighty goes hand in hand with asking for His blessings and kindness. As humans, we are prone to making blunders and mistakes, which result in sins.

As a result, every prudent Muslim attempt to ask Allah Almighty's pardon whenever and wherever feasible. The first ten days of Dhul Hajj are obviously perfect for doing good actions. It also seems natural that during these days, a person seeks pardon from Allah and attempts to make up for whatever has transpired in the past, whether purposefully or accidentally. But as for him who repented, believed, and did virtuous actions, then he will be among the successful, Allah declares in the Quran. There are no actions as wonderful as those done in these ten days. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH remarked in one of His hadiths concerning the auspicious days of Dhul Hajj.

“Not even Jihad?” they (the companions hearing) exclaimed. No, not even Jihad save for a guy who goes forth risking his life and fortune and returns with nothing, he PBUH stated. The sayings demonstrate that these ten days are rich with benefits and greatness. As a result, we should devote these ten beautiful days and nights to intense worship and good deeds. Fasting during the first nine days of Dhul Hajj, along with prayer and other good works, is one of the most essential and noble practices. Fasting is considered the highest form of worship and one of the greatest actions.

According to the following hadith, we should fast for the first nine days of Dhul Hajj, with the ninth Zill Hajj having special significance (The Day of Arafa). The Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad PBUH would fast the (first) nine days of Dhul Hajj. The Day of Ashura, and the three days of every month, the first Monday of the month and the following two Thursdays, Hazrat Hafsah R.A said in hadith.
