As of September 22, 2022, the Iranian government has decided to remain permanently in the standard time zone, canceling daylight saving time. Moving forward, Iran will permanently remain at UTC + 3:30 time zone. In support of this decision, Microsoft is releasing a series of Windows Updates.

For Windows 10 and 11/20H2 and later versions, this enhancement is available in the April 2023 Cumulative Update preview. This update was made available on April 25, 2023. The update will be included in the May 2023 monthly quality update, which is slated for delivery on May 9, 2023, for all other supported versions of Windows.
