The majority of the modifications aren't that significant however they do demonstrate the care Blizzard has put into the remaster. It retains the gameplay of initial Diablo 2 intact but features new graphics that can be turned on or off. The icons for various items, like weapons, potions and armor have been tweaked slightly to give more clarity and clarity.

A bigger modification Blizzard claims was made after “careful evaluation” and is sure to make the hoarders of loot happy: The game's shared stash has increased in size , from one tab to three tabs.

“When it concerns the personal storage space of a player we know it's a serious matter,” Blizzard writes. “This modification will allow players to organize their belongings over 3 tabs (100 slots each) of storage space, and keep more things.”

Many of the features that improve quality of life have been improved. The players can now switch off the compare tooltip. Players also can toggle the item's name to off or on at the push of a button. The automap in the game has been updated with it's color changed to improve reading. The players can also turn on an in-game clock if they wish to, and Blizzard states that overall load times should be much faster after Alpha and that characters won't be able to spawn in hostile zone until the game has completely loaded “preventing players from being wounded or attacked on the load screen.”

The players will be able to experience the changes that are coming for Diablo 2: Resurrected soon since the beta version of the game will be available in August.
