Another issue WoTLK Classic Gold mythic raiders had to contend with this time around was that the game's mechanics for the final three bosses in the raid were in the majority a mystery. The players are typically able to check out the new raids and mechanics through the game's public test realm. However Blizzard intentionally excluded the Lords of Dread, Rygelon, and Jailer boss encounters from the PTR prior to launch. It meant guilds would have to be reliant on datamined and uncompleted information in order to plan their strategies.
There were bosses who were part of the PTR such as Halondrus was a raider's challenge, with Liquid taking 357 attempts before the boss was finally defeated. The Jailer's personal secret phase that was only revealed when the boss was reduced to 10 percent HP, presenting guilds with yet another challenge to overcome as the race started winding down. In all, it took Echo 277 times on the Jailer before he finally claimed this World First title.
While the race took longer than normal however, there were also more lengthy World First races. In 2017 there was a wait of 19 days before a guild to beat Kil'jaeden, a monster on Mythic difficulty. A final fight in the First Ones is the final raid in Shadowlands in which it will get a Season 4 that will repurpose earlier raids, it'll likely take a while to get a World of Warcraft First race. Blizzard will reveal WoW's next expansion on April 19.
