Each one takes just one square within your inventory. They take up two squares each D2R Items but can accommodate up to 20 of their respective scrolls. The ability to manage your inventory is important and you'll be able to make space for these tomes , as the scrolls that you collect are automatically inserted into them, provided they're already holding 20.
If you are able to enlist the help to Deckard Cain, the need for Scrolls of Identify will be greatly reduced as he'll be able to spot items on a massive scale every time you return to town. You'll still need access to town portals throughout.
There's a ton of loot as you play however some of it may not be essential to collect. While you can sell anything to the town, constantly returning to the store can get tedious and will cost you a small amount in the form of a Scroll of Town Portal. Therefore, the time you spend in town is better spent simply grabbing more useful things.
These are items that are exclusive to the class — wands, sacred globes or scepters, barbarian armors, scepters and more are worthwhile option, as is amulets, rings, and other items that give an incentive to a class's skills. Focus on nabbing these instead of bolts and other objects that require a lot of space. You can maximize your earnings while reducing the number of trips to the city you must make.
