A 3PL is not the same as an on-demand warehousing company that simply connects you with excess space in various warehouses without operating any logistics centres themselves. We store your inventory in our fulfilment centres once we receive it. Each SKU has its own dedicated storage location, which can be a shelf, a bin, or a pallet.
Storage capacities vary between 3PLs; not all 3PL warehouse space is created equal. Working with a Third-Party Logistics Market that has more than enough storage space for your current inventory is critical as your product line and order volume expand, your 3PL storage must be able to scale with you. Courier companies, transportation and logistics companies, freight forwarders, and a few others are common examples of third-party logistics providers.
