Is it hard for you to drink enough water? The importance of water to your health cannot be overstated. Energy levels, mental clarity, and stamina, as well as digestion and skin health, may all take a hit when you're dehydrated. If you want to feel better and drink more water every day, use these six strategies.
Make a schedule.
Start your day with a big glass of water, and make it a habit to drink another glass before each meal. Then, drink a little water just before bed. You may form the habit of drinking more water by include these in your daily routine.
Keep in mind.
Make sure to stay hydrated all day by setting a timer on your phone.
Gulp.
Every time you go for a glass of water, take five to ten gulps instead of sipping. This strategy will help you drink more water overall than if you sipped slowly throughout the day.
Love your water bottle.
Get yourself a large water bottle you really enjoy and always have some liquid on hand. Always have your bottle close by, whether you're in the office, on the train, or watching TV. If you keep a water bottle in a convenient location, you're more likely to drink water often during the day.
Track it.
Record your daily water intake, either digitally through an app or analogously with pen and paper. This will serve as a check on your progress and keep you on track. Besides using a water-bottle counter, what else might be entertaining? To prevent your empty water bottle from rolling about, always have a rubber band on hand.
Flavor it up.
To add flavor to your water without adding sugar or sugar alternatives, try adding sliced fruits, veggies, and herbs. Add a few mint leaves and a handful of fresh raspberries for an extra flavor boost, or some cucumber slices for a cool and refreshing beverage.
