Top 10 Differences Between Mean Stack and Full Stack Development

A full stack developer needs knowledge of both front-ends and backends. On the other hand, most MEAN stacks only focus on one side of development so you need to know how to work with their relevant frameworks. You will find that most systems will implement Express as their API server which is available as expressjs for nodejs or npm install -g express for MAC OS X, Linux, and Windows systems; This server provides routing via routes() and middleware via use(). Using a full stack, you don’t have to hire dedicated front-end or back-end developers. You can save money by hiring one developer who is capable of handling both jobs. When working with a mean stack, however, you must find two different developers: one for each job. This will cost more because you are paying more people instead of just one person. A benefit to mean stacks is that it allows for speed and flexibility in development because both sides of your application are being constantly updated by different developers.

While it is possible to set up a secure, full-stack development environment using open source software on your own hardware, there are dedicated full-stack development services that take care of security for you. Dedicated hosting providers have in-house security experts who make sure your servers are not only fast but also secure. Version control lets multiple developers collaborate on a single project while keeping track of their changes; it ensures everyone’s code stays organized, eliminating potential conflicts and errors. Some popular version control platforms include Git and Mercurial, though there are many others to choose from as well. If your company is considering hiring one type of developer over another, be sure to consider how they work with these software programs. You may even want to ask for examples of previous work in order to get an idea of how each type would approach your specific project.
