Duration: B.Tech/ BE – 4 years
BCA – 3 years
Eligibility: The applicant must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examinations (with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects) from a recognised board of education with a minimum aggregate score of 50%
Admission Process: The admission process for undergraduate programmes is either merit or entrance based, depending on the institution.
For B.Tech/BE courses, there are national as well as state-level entrance examinations that a student can take. The most commonly accepted one is the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main), at the national level.
At the state level, the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET) is conducted in Karnataka for admission to undergraduate engineering courses.
While a diploma and/ or an undergraduate degree is enough to get one started with AI courses after 12th Std, candidates can pursue higher education in this field to have better career prospects.

- Master of Technology (M.Tech)/Master of Engineering (ME) in Artificial Intelligence
- Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Machine Learning

- Duration: All the above-mentioned courses have a duration of 2 years.
Eligibility:
Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and M.Sc in Artificial Intelligence – A candidate must have completed their undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
M.Tech/ME – Candidates must have completed their B.Tech/ BE degrees or M.Sc degrees in a related field with an aggregate score of 50%.
Admission Process:
The admission process for the M.Sc course is merit-based or entrance exam based, depending on the institute.
For M.Tech/ME courses, a candidate has to sit for and clear the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
Depending on the GATE score, candidates are assigned ranks and allotted seats in different institutions.
