Allah SWT gives Muslims a complete set of rules for living in the Quran, and the Prophet PBUH teaches us by what he does and says every day. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) shows us how to live a healthy, balanced life in Allah's service. In the Quran, Allah tells us how to deal with everyday things without doing anything wrong.

Umrah with a guide and without one

In the same way, one part of life is how men and women interact with each other. Islam is the first religion in the history of the world to treat women with respect. Muslim women are taught to stay away from men they don't know to keep them safe and protect their honour. Islam sets limits on how we can interact with men in order to make us more civilised and less wild and careless. For women, interactions with men can be put into two main groups:

(a) Mahram and

(b) Na Mahram

Umrah is a religious obligation that is not required, and it is also called “lesser Hajj.” Allah SWT made rules for women and men to follow in order to book 5 Star Ramadan Umrah Deal. Islam is a religion that is based on kindness and forgiveness. Islam teaches us to protect the weak and defenceless and to pay special attention to protecting the honour, dignity, and reputation of women. This is why Allah and His messenger PBUH don't let women travel alone on the Umrah and Hajj journeys. In this holy journey, women must have a mahram with them. But people have different thoughts on women going on Hajj and Umrah without a Mahram. Some scholars say that Hajj is not a required service for women who don't have a mahram. Some people believe that women who can pay for Hajj but don't have a mahram should pay for someone else to go instead. But most people think that women can't travel unless they are with their mahram. The Prophet said:

“A woman shouldn't go anywhere without a Mahram with her.” (Al Bukhari and Sahi Muslim)

There is also the idea that women can do Hajj or Umrah with a group of other women and be completely safe. This is not true, and women are not allowed to travel without a mahram, as stated in the Hadith above. It is very important to know who your mahram is and who is not your mahram. But what is a mahram in the first place? Mahram are people you can't marry or have sexual relations with, and you don't have to cover your hair in front of them. The rest of the men are called “Na Mahram” to women. Mahrams are further broken down into three groups.

  1. Mahrams by blood.
  2. Married to a Mahram.
  3. Mahram was nursing.

Mahrams by blood are easy to understand. They are your son, grandson, great grandson, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brothers, brother's son, sister's son, and your mother's and father's brother. They are also your maternal and paternal uncles by blood. People here have a lot of wrong ideas about mahram by marriage, especially about brother-in-laws. Prophet SAW said that brother-in-laws are “death,” so your brother-in-law is not your Mahram. If your husband died, it is completely okay for you to marry your brother-in-law. But your husband's father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son-in-law, and the husband of your granddaughter are all mahram by marriage. I think we all know what the difference is between mahram and Na mahram now.
