Vlogging is the latest ‘in’ thing in the blogging industry. In fact, with the rise of video content, more and more people are interested in getting live and creating content. So, there are millions of vlogs right now, just like good old blogs.

But is it necessary to start vlogging or create video content for your blog?

For me, I am more a ‘book and pen’ person than ‘sit and shoot with a camera’ persona. So, I am struggling with creating video content. I am lazy and somehow my YouTube channel is little neglected. I do create content for it but as we know that if the content is the king then consistency is the queen and I can not grow a YouTube channel without proper consistency.

But I do feel that it is necessary to create video content if you are in some particular niche like food, travel, fashion, beauty, technology etc. Here are few things that I learned from my experience to create video content.

You do not need fancy cameras or set up for vlogging. With good light, even your phone camera and balcony can be perfect.
People connect more with the videos.  When they watch the real you talking about the subject you and they are passionate about.
Vlogging boosts your confidence as a creator, at least it does mine. It results in improved quality of the videos.
Vlogging is time-consuming as people take time to warm with your videos. But it is really worth it.
You need patience, lot and lots of patience to create videos. And my laziness is creating more problem in growing my channel on Youtube.

Anyways, there are so many people who are really doing well with their vlogs. It feels so happy to watch their videos and feel connected to their struggles, joys, food and travels. Here are my favourite vlogs from different niche. Do subscribe to them if you feel connected to them too.

Derek Halpern

I love watching Derek’s videos. They are fun and full of information on how to run an online business and life.

But First, Cofee

But First, Cofee is a vlog on personal finance, life hacks and DIY. I love Kallie’s fun side and how she discusses a serious issue as personal finance so elegantly.

Shout Me Loud

Shout Me Loud is one of the best blogs in blogging and making money online by Harsh Agrawal. Harsh’s teaching style is simple and easy to understand and it is evident in his every video.

Ethereal

If you love travelling, then this is your channel to go. Most of their videos are short and engaging. I found them on Facebook and since then, I am a fan.

Jaunt Moneky

Ebin Jose shares his personal travel and food journey in Jaunt Money. If you are fond of off-beat travels then, do subscribe to this channel.

Bong Eat

I have recently discovered this channel. And within three days, I binge watched everything. Being a fan of Bengali cuisine, this is now my go-to-channel to cook anything Bengali.

Whats Up Moms

A funny, quirky, informative and handy vlog for new moms. If you are expecting a child, or a new mom and struggling with everything which comes with new responsibilities, this is your channel.
